A native of Southern California, Annie Gao began her carillon studies at the Yale University Guild of Carillonneurs. In 2020 she successfully completed the Carillonneur certification examination with the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America and is currently pursuing further carillon studies in Belgium and The Netherlands. According to herself, in addition to the carillon, she also enjoys competitive ping pong, puzzles, reading – and opportunities to explore and improve her fascinatingly bad sense of direction!
