The IX Eurocarillon Festival, which had as its theme “The Carillon and the Classics”, took place in Cobh from September 25 to 28, 2003. Taking part were carillonneurs Trevor Workman from England, Radek Rejsek from The Czech Republic, Aimé Lombaert from Flanders, Jean Bernard Lemoine from France, Boudewijn Zwart from the Netherlands and Anna Maria Reverté i Casas from Spain. The Festival was grant aided by The Arts Council.
